Mountain Passion Maps
|
Mountain Passion Maps shows the location where a photograph was taken on a map. Most map are 1:25000.
The direction the picture was taken is also given. A layer over the map show camera symbols:
 ,  or  etc.
Point your mouse pointer on the camera and a photo will pop up. Click on the camera and the full size photograph appears.
This feature requires the Java plugin to be installed.

Mountain Passion for Google Earth
|
Mountain Passion for Google Earth shows the location where a photograph was taken in Google Earth. Probably Mountain Passions most fancy feature.
The direction the picture was taken is also given in Google Earth. A layer over the map show camera symbols:
, or etc.
Click on the camera and a picture will pop up. Click on the picture and the full size photograph appears on Mountain Passion again. Probably the smoothest Google Earth integration on the web.
Look for the  symbol to find Google Earth enabled photographs and trips. Google Earth must be available on your system.

Photo of the week
|
Many sites on the web have a "Photo of the week". Mountain Passion allows it's visitors to select their favourite photograph. Just enter a name and press the button. The selected photo is rewarded with a  and the visitor's name appears on the main screen and in the Photo of the Week History.

The Mountain Passion database contains photographs of many mountains. I took them during several trips in both summer and winter. This feature shows all my pictures of a mountain selected by you using the Choise box. Some mountains have a live web cam as well.

Send to a friend
|
Select a Mountain Passion photograph and send it by e-mail to a friend. The friends e-mail must be supplied. Mountain Passion does not store any entered data. The e-mail will be send with Mountain Passion as sender.

Downloadable trip reports in Adobe PDF format . Currently available in Dutch only. If you feel that the stories should be available in your language as well, and you are willing to translate them, please Contact Mountain Passion. Comments on the stories are always welcome in both the Guestbook or by e-mail.
